Rick is known as the master of the good conversation. He started his media career with NCRV (Dutch Christian Radio and TV Broadcaster) in 1970, just like his father Herman Felderhof. Rick initially made TV shows for children and later worked for the radio. In 1990 he switched to television, where he became successful with De Stoel (The Chair), in which he portrayed extraordinary people. In 1996 Villa Felderhof followed, for which he received a Gouden Televizierring (Golden Television Award) in 1998. In November 2004 he was the last one to interview Dutch prince Bernhard. In 2006 he launched his own magazine Felderhof, which stopped in March 2010. He produced a series Schrijvers op de Veranda (Authors on the Veranda) that was recorded in and around his own home in Tanzania that has a view on the Kilimanjaro. Currently Rock Felderhof stays interchangeably in Bonaire and Tanzania.
