In 1996 Villa Felderhof followed, for which he received a Gouden Televizierring (Golden Television Award) in 1998. In November 2004 he was the last one to interview Dutch prince Bernhard. In 2006 he launched his own magazine Felderhof, which stopped in March 2010. He produced a series Schrijvers op de Veranda (Authors on the Veranda) that was recorded in and around his own home in Tanzania that has a view on the Kilimanjaro.
